Located in Chesterfield County, SwimRVA serves the Greater Richmond area as a catalyst for regional aquatics and community-wide focus on water safety, health & fitness, sports tourism and competitive swimming.  We offer swimming lessons, water aerobics, aqua running, water polo, CPR & lifeguard certification courses, masters swimming, warm water therapy pool, land fitness classes, and youth triathlon training.

Party Host

SwimRVA Party Host

Job purpose

To create and maintain a friendly and positive experience for our party guests

Duties and responsibilities

  • Performs his or her job in a friendly, courteous manner
  • Responsible for setting up, cleaning up, and maintaining party room decorations
  • Great and assist guest entering the party area
  • Assist parent with waiver completion and ensure guests are satisfied with their visit
  • Will stay in party room the entire time of party hour to assist with party needs
  • Serve food, beverages, and cake to the party guests
  • Adhere to and enforce party timing schedule
  • Assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of party areas
  • Enforces all rules and regulations promptly and professionally
  • Ensures all trash and debris are cleared from party room area
  • Clean up all party supplies and put away neatly in party closet
  • All other duties assigned by department heads

Physical requirements

  • CPR and First Aid Certification required (or be willing to be trained)
  • Ability to work with attention to detail
  • Work in standing positions for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
  • Ability to put up and take down tables and chairs and decorate for the party
  • Must be able to work weekends

Occasionally party host’s will be responsible, but not limited to, walking on tours, assisting in sets of various types, and lifting and carrying weights up to 50 pounds.

Reports to

Party Hosts will report directly to the Senior Administrative Coordinator and the Director of Communications. 

Pay starts at $9/hour.  Friday evenings and weekends only.
